Given 3T's aero expertise, the advancement of the Aeroflux LTD Stealth winged handlebar for modern road use was natural evolution. The newly designed flat top shape that establishes quickly from the stem clamp zone, offering the widest possible, forward facing aero surface. With full cable and wire routing integration the overall effect is incredibly clean and it is proven that even small aero advantages at the front of the bike reduce drag. The designers have also given attention to the ergonomics of the flat section, for when the cyclist prefers to sit up for comfort or to un-weight the front wheel over rougher surfaces. The shape and size allow distribution of pressure over a wider area, decreasing pressure points. The unidirectional carbon construction is also stiff where it needs to be, but offering vibration reduction as well. The full effect is of a smartly designed aero road handlebar with compact bar measurements and curve ergonomics drawn from the incredibly popular Superergo bar design.

The Aeroflux LTD Stealth was designed for road and allroad cycling, and some gravel racers who don't care for the super flared shapes of true gravel/adventure bars may favor the aerodynamics and feel. There is a slight flare to the drops, at 7 degrees, which will offer some stability, as it adds 2cm of overall width the measured size, but will more likely be useful when sprinting in the drops or seeking greater control in crosswinds. The Superergo style drop itself has a gradual change in curvature that makes the grips comfortable for hands of all sizes and ensures brake lever access for smaller hands. The tighter top bend ensures the newest Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo shift/brake levers align perfectly and has comfortable hand positions on the hoods. The center bar to center diameter of the lever, which is how reach is measured, sits at 77mm, but due to the shape, the reach to the outside face of the curve is 89mm, which is just 2mm more than normal. Again, the angle and lever set-up actually makes the reach to the shift brake levers from the drops closer. The overall drop itself is a fairly standard compact 119mm and it has a slight ergo angle at the bottom that delivers a better hand grip shape to the bar, and informs you where the end of the drop is.

The details of the bar are properly executed, with the internal routing system the best we have seen from 3T. The hole set-ups are in the perfect places and reinforcement in the lay-up process allows for larger openings. The Aeroflux LTD Stealth is fully compatible with Shimano's 11-speed Di2 e-Tube wiring system, including the EW-RS910 Junction A plug for the handlebar end, and a rear center hole in the stem clamp zone for intra-stem wiring. Textured clamping zones and clear alignment markings make for a secure and accurate set-up that is easily duplicated when necessary. The overall shape of the bar is designed to be optimally paired with 3T's Apto Stem for aerodynamic reasons. Although the designers could have made the center clamping section of the bar wider for clip-on aerobar compatibility, the Aeroflux LTD Stealth was intended to be a true aero road bar, not a hybrid, and they felt the advantages in the clean facing section, the closer exits from the internal cable routing hiding more closely to the stem, and lighter resulting weight, were well worth it. At 226 grams for a such a full featured, efficient 40cm aero road bar, it is hard to argue with their rationale.
