The Ergosum Team Stealth bar isn't actually harder to pick up on radar than the gloss version with red graphics, but nontheless it blends in perfectly with many of today's matte or UD carbon bikes, and along with the 3T ARX II Team Stealth Stem, completes the package. You have to admit, the look is sweet, and well looks fast, and as if it could sneak up on someone. Don't worry, this is truly the same Team level bar from 3T, they just like to give you options- stand out or disappear.

The Ergosum design isn't exactly traditional, nor a short reach compact. The drop is just slightly deeper than the Ergonova compact, but the reach is a full 12mm longer, and again, this isn't a classic reach, but a centimeter makes substantial difference in leverage and handling, as you weight moves further out over the wheel. If compact bars are too tight for larger hands, or you just prefer more length, the Ergosum is a great choice. The tight radius at the top of the curve makes set-up with all of today's shifter body designs simple and even with a slight bar rotation up or down, the reach stays pretty much the same. The bar itself features constant thickness, round UD carbon shapes. There are no grooves or internal slots for cables. In this sense, the Ergosum feels traditional when wrapped. The transitions from lever to drops for larger hands are smooth, so long as you prefer riding in the curve. There isn't much flat extension to finish the drop.

The finish features a gloss coating while crisp red and white graphics add a distinctive flair. A sandpaper-like texture is applied to the fixing areas of the stem and brake/shifters. This feature pretty much guarantees no slippage when everything is installed properly, but 3T still recommends the use of friction paste for ultimate safety.The familiar red graphics denote that the bar is a 3T Team level product and is the same product used in the professional ranks.

Unlike the Ergonova, the Ergosum curves and drops run parallel to each other; there is no flare. So the 42cm measures 420mm center to center at the hood mount locations and the drop ends.
