The T.Campionissimo is the result of over a half a decade of the Assos Werkmannschaft's obsession of creating the perfect bib short. From aerodynamic qualities, amount of compression and support, to the amount of volume, weight and anatomic fit, every facet was scrutinized. This careful examination and testing of fit and performance ended up in the development of the revolutionary and magical textile called Type A.444 ergoKompressor. In a day and age of many perfunctory efforts from other bib manufacturers, Assos ushers in the best bib short ever brought to market.

Unsatisfied with that standard selection of Lycra and spandex on the market, Assos designed their own textile, Type.444 ergoKompressor. This fabric offers a perfect amount of muscle compression and support without being too restrictive in a super low volume package. This support comes in two ways, compression and stability. The compression is the Assos ergoKompressor reference. Pressure is applied through the elastic fabric, but provides intelligently balanced compression, meaning the compression or pressure is applied ergonomically and in all the right places, so it is supportive, yet comfortable. This process makes the bibs feel like a second skin and a natural extension of your body. Stability comes from the derivation of Assos's A:E:M:T. (Asymmetrical Elastic Module Tech) design. The process makes Type.444 a calibrated textile that is combined with directional pattern cutting to support muscle elongation and stability. Being a woven fabric it has a high percentage of spandex woven into the matrix for a strong return stretch. All of this technology is wrapped up in a 170 gram, 5 panel garment, with all seams strategically placed for a smooth and aerodynamic surface.

Performance is further enhanced with Assos iceColor fabric treatment which reflects sunlight and creates a cooler and more temperature-stable garment. Thanks to the T.Campionissimo's weave pattern, the moisture transfer is lightning quick for speedy dry times and ventilation is best in class. Special attention was paid in the saddle contact region to provide you with extra grip to enable a more stable pedaling platform.

As you would expect, the T.Campionissimo receives Assos's best insert, which features many innovations and ground breaking technologies. The most visually obvious being the kuku Penthouse. This is located in the area of the chamois where your genitals reside. It is a supper soft and super low compression panel that gently supports your private parts by offering enough compression to keep them in place, but not so much that you are restricted and bunched up. The insert is elastic, and although this doesn't sound like much, it greatly cuts down on friction which leads to chafing. The chamois features GoldenGate technology, which means it is only attached at the front and rear of the insert, allowing the unstitched center to free float and act as if it were a natural extension of your body. These innovations give the S7 chamois an organic and comfortable sensation. The padding and support comes from the Assos designed memoryFoam which features a shock absorbing, closed cell foam construction. The memoryFoam padding returns to its original form as soon as pressure is released. This means that every time your pedaling position changes, you move on the saddle or shift your weight, memoryFoam foam fills the gap. The foam is placed in strategic areas including around each side of the prostate area to create a well for pressure release. The top layer of the chamois is billed as Assos superAir and is located directly under the top sheet. This waffled pattern design dissipates heat by creating proper air flow, while simultaneously wicks moisture and perspiration away from your body. Anti-bacterial threading is used on the top sheet to help keep the top pad clean and sanitary.

The uppers of the T.Campionissimo have anatomic and flat suspenders that use Assos's Y7 Bib Carrier strap design. These straps are s-shaped, super flat and move towards the outside of your chest which offer better support while being lower profile. Thanks to Assos, bib straps no longer have to sit directly on your clavicle. The Y7 carriers offer the support you need while feeling like they are not even there.
