With the introduction of the Crux Reservoir system and it's increased water flow per sip, Camelbak's overall line-up has been refreshed as well. The best-selling MULE Hydration Pack has been available in various iterations for almost 20 years. The essential MULE concept has not changed: it hits the sweet spot of size versus storage, with excellent load distribution. For the harness, the company's Independent Suspension™ with ultra light 3D mesh is tapered with an ergonomic cut for ideal control and comfort. With two main pockets on the front the MULE has more than enough room for a jacket, tube, pump, phone, card and keys, and the removable waist belt adds stability when you are flying down the trail. This updated MULE has a Magnetic Tube Trap that stows your drinking tube in one easy click. Universal helmet hooks make it easy to carry head protection when you’re not riding. The 3-liter (100oz) Crux Reservoir was developed to increase water flow, up to 20% more per sip than the previous generation. Drawing water more easily, with greater flow reduces the time and energy spent trying to stay hydrated, keeping your focus on the trail. Camelbak added an ON/Off Lever as an angled fitment between the end of the tube and the Big Bite Valve for more control and a better sipping angle. The large diameter reservoir opening and handle makes filling easier. A baffle has been added to the center of the bladder to keep the weight of the water evenly distributed and stable. Finally, the Quick Link valve at the bottom of the pack where the tube exits has a shut-off valve and allows the user to click-fit tubes for replacement, add filters or insulated tubes in a matter of seconds.
