Campagnolo is a company that is no stranger to high-performance wheel construction. Decades of producing many pro-level wheels for cycling and OE branded wheels for Ferrari and Ducati, has led to a deep understanding of both construction processes and aerodynamics. The Bora WTO (Wind Tunnel Optimized) design is based on the standard Bora line of wheels with pure aerodynamic engineering in mind, delivering Camagnolo's most advanced wheels to date.

The WTO 45mm rim depth and profile is fast in a perfectly straight position, but manages to optimize aerodynamic penetration when the yaw angle is between 12 and 19 degrees, making it consistently fast in real world conditions.The redesigned USB hub profile is much smaller in the center to decrease front area, while the flanges improve airflow detachment. Oversize axles rest at the center of the completely serviceable hubs, while external bearing tension adjustments make for easy service. The hubset and rim are paired with custom drawn aero steel spokes, which make the wheel torsionally stronger to impede unnecessary flex and distortion. The 18 spoke elliptical cross section in the front and 21 spoke rear cross section in the rear result in superior rolling resistance of the cross sections compared to previous Bora wheelsets.
