Description
You've reached the top if your considering Super Record Calipers. What you get is a pair of Record Brake calipers with the use of more exotic and lighter weight materials earning the the much hallowed Super Record graphic. These exotic upgrades include a titanium fixing bolt and washers and a small weight redcution.
Campagnolo serves up the Super Record Skeleton brakeset in two ways: D (Dual/Mono Pivot) and DP (Dual/Dual Pivot). The Super Record D brakes feature a front brake that is a dual pivot front caliper for maximum power and a mono pivot rear caliper to save weight and increase modulation and performance. The other option is the DP caliper. This features dual pivot calipers on both front and rear. This option offers supreme power but with less modulation for the rear wheel and a slight weight penalty.
The Skeleton design is an impressive piece of engineering where the cold forged caliper body has been relived and gutted of any non-essential material. The design improves strength while removing weight and leaves the caliper with a minimalist and almost skeletal resemblance. Being a Super Record grade product, the pivots of the two caliper arms rotate on a high-quality and precision ground bearing for smooth and linear operation. Black anodization completes the package.
The brake pads have Campagnolo's engineered carbon compound which features solid grip in both wet and dry conditions, with impressive stopping distances and longevity. The compound is optimized for aluminum braking surfaces. The Record brake shoe has a slick pad retention system that makes pad replacement/installation an easy task. Return to TopFeatures
