The Idro 2 Jacket from Castelli proved that a lightweight, packable jacket could be fully waterproof, with great fit and features, and also be used as a simple blocking layer in dry temps in a sub 115 grams weight. Building off the success of that piece, the design team added a new stretch panel to the lower rear section of the Idro 3 made from Gore-Tex Topo, which offers rain protection with diameter oriented, significant stretch and excellent breathability. Combined with the Gore-Tex Shakedry material that graces the rest of the jacket, the full waterproof capability is maintained, with better fit accommodation for more body shapes and loaded pockets.

With a high collar, internal wrist gaiters, and the superior fabrics, the Idro 3 takes the reins from the previous generation, wile maintaining a sub 120 gram weight. Reflective tape on the back of both sleeves adds excellent visibility, and the YKK Vislon waterproof zipper has a long pull tab for fast and accurate zipper adjustments.
