The riders of Team Ineos-Grenadiers requested a thermal vest with light protection to be used a layer when necessary, or as outerwear when feasible. Castelli proved up to the task with their Pro Thermal Mid Vest utilizing their Warmer X-Stretch fabric, which features a soft polyester fleece inner to hold heat and wick away moisture, while carrying a windproof membrane to deflect cool wind, yet maintain the breathability to keep you dry. You get core warmth while staying comfortable.

The slim, close fit also allows the Pro Thermal to be worn under a wind or rain shell when necessary, yet it also carries a pro-style 3-pocket system at the lower back to carry your essentials and stow that shell when you don't need it. Castelli always opts for high quality YKK® Vislon® zippers when appropriate, and this one is concealed behind overlapping fabric on both sides to further reduce wind infiltration. The mid height soft collar is flexible and not restrictive. Many companies have moved away from thermal vests, but we are pleased to see Castelli maintaining the option. The light and breathable wind protection gives it more versatility and the design is ideal for active cyclists who train through the Fall, Winter and Spring and like to have clothing and layering flexibility for a wide range of conditions.
