The original Quindici sock from Castelli offered soft comfort and warmth, but tended to wear a little quickly and fell short just a little in features and graphic design. Still, it was impressively popular and had a several year run as a great fall/winter cycling sock. With the current version, Castelli has moved to more defined nylon-reinforced heel and toe zones to improve wear, while maintaining the arch support band and full 15cm cuff height. The 65%Merino wool, 20% nylon, 15% elastane fabric blend is the same but the Quindici has a different feel, despite it's still luxurious comfort. This a favorite sock for fall and spring road cyclists, as well as cyclocross riders, but the comfort, warmth and cushion will be strongly appreciated by gravel riders extending their seasons as the leaves fall and winter beckons.
