Castelli's Nano series garments have proven themselves to be more than capable of offering rain protection, along with some wind blocking while maintaining comfortable feel and impressive moisture transfer rates. The new Nano Flex 3G fabric has a light, brushed fleece insulation with exceptional warmth per weight and soft feel on the skin. The fabric is not restrictive or limiting, and offers moderate compression. Castelli is better able to utilize the stretch and support with the new version, reducing the seaming required for better overall comfort and performance. The lower section and fabric rise up in the mid-section for increased coverage and protection that keeps the core warm and supported.

The famed Giro3 engineered flat leg bands are generally found on Castelli options costing twice as much. The mesh bib upper wraps the obliques and lower back with just enough compression to stabilize muscles that are always being utilized but are often forgotten. The y-section of the yolk is clean and subtle, and while the straps are wider and flatter, they do have finished, smooth edges with incredibly clean stitching. The mesh wicks moisture away from the body and allows for fast moisture transfer and heat management.

At the business end, Castelli has opted for the Kiss Air2 seatpad. Dual density and infinitely variable thickness foam delivers optimal optimal cushioning by pressure need for every area of the pad. A soft stretchy skin care layer provides total freedom of movement with minimal friction or excess bulk. The Kiss Air2 is an excellent mileage pad for long hours in the saddle, and also ideal for a 2-3 hour gravel throw down.
