Everybody loves a great cotton tee, right? Sure, until it gets sweaty or wet. The best workout or casual t-shirts have long employed a cotton-polyester blend for the best combination of comfort, feel, lighter weight and at least some moisture management. Castelli makes this Cervelo e-logo T-shirt and runs with a 60% cotton, 40% polyester blend, which is a perfect balance. Given that Castelli is a technical clothing provocateur, the cotton yarn has also been treated to resist moisture and more closely align with the performance of the polyester fibers. You wouldn't expect the technical geniuses from Castelli or Cervelo to offer a simple cotton tee, would you?

The fit is a semi-form, tapered for more athletic builds, and the sizing is true Castelli. The lightweight fabric has a terrific hand, and it gets better after a few washes. This is the type of t-shirt you are loath to take off, and is seemingly always at the front of the drawer (or the top of the pile, as the case may be). Which is why all your friends, family, folks at the store and buddies at the health club will know which cycling company you prefer. And Cervelo thanks you for that! But, in some seriousness, the screen printed, arcing, top chest Cervelo logo in red over the heather grey fabric looks sharp, and the slice "e" logo on the back in white offers a hint of speed- and a hint of mystery to the uninitiated. Sitting above the slice logo on the back, just at the base of the neck is the white Castelli Scorpion, on it's bold red badge, which adds some flair. To ensure good non-drive exposure on a Sunday trip to the coffee shop, the left sleeve also carries the full "e" logo.

As you'd expect, the small details are covered as well. A contrasting inner neck tape is a nice touch, stitching is clean and unobtrusive, the sleeves are a perfect length for most folks- covering your rider's tan line but not down to the elbow. The right side seam has an external sewn-in Cervelo logo tab, in red, which adds a nice small color detail to an otherwise simple, lightly tapered silhouette. Clearly we love the Cervelo e T-Shirt and we expect you will as well. While it certainly isn't the least expensive tee on the market, it also sin't close to the fashion world's top dollar offerings either. You will get a technical t-shirt that knows that properly evolved cotton can be a technical fiber as well, and delivers a great feel and excellent durability, all while sharing your love of Cervelo. And what could be better than that?
