Description
The HB13 Carbon Road Handlebar from Cervelo was developed to deliver a semi-aero, somewhat integrated UD carbon bar experience to 5-series bicycles. The bike models have an internal routing system that runs from the bar to the stem, down into the proprietary C-shape fork steerer, then into the frameset for an incredibly clean routing set-up of any wires and hydraulic disc brake hose. The compact bar is relatively aerodynamic, with a flat-oval top section. As an allroad/road bar it was designed with an 80mm reach and 123mm drop, and a radius that allows for a nice flat transition to the lever hoods from the bar with most current shift/brake lever body designs, as well as better brake lever access when hands are in the drop curves.
The actual routing is by groove-type cable routing that is easily carried from levers via the groove channels close to the back end of the shifter body. It allows the routed wires/hoses to pass easily to the stem via this recessed external channel which allows for a more relaxed curve out through the bar stem-interface with the Cervelo ST31 Carbon and ST32 Alloy series stems. The stems are proprietary to the C-shaped for steerer.
