Craft's Active Extreme fabric is a lightweight, high tech micro-polyester fabric. The material is highly elastic and offers an exceptionally high level of moisture transport. The micro fibers are oblong in shape, with cross-sectioned grooves that run lengthwise on the fibers. The fibers are spun into a hexachannel yarn. The grooves on the fibers carry moisture away from the skin, through the core of the yarn, which releases it through the channels via capillary action to the outer edge of the surface. The finer the fibers, the more effective the overall fabric will be. The longer fibers are equally flexible and lightweight, with hollow-core fibers that trap air within the core to retain heat. The surface area of the yarn is larger, giving it more effective means of releasing moisture, even while it keep heat within. The two fabrics used together in a single woven material provide an ideal combination for high levels of physical activity that require heat and moisture management.

Craft ups the ante with the WindStopper front panel. Bodymapped for ideal shape and protection, the panel is sewn to the hat at the edges, allowing both the panel and the Active Extreme fabric to stretch independently. Gore's elastic WindStopper fabric is totally windproof, lightweight, soft, and wicks moisture through micropores in the material for immediate release. It isn't restrictive, nor does it compromise the baselayer fit or performance. The material itself is a proprietary blend of 92% polyester with 8% ePTFE. All stitching and seams are flat-lock
