The contemporary 18mm rim width is a wide enough to allow for a proper tire profile, while it's tubeless channel allows you to go full-tubeless, or simply use with a standard tire/tube combination. The PR 1400 Dicut OXiC rear rim has asymmetrically placed spokes for added strength and receives the special OXiC ceramic coating to make the rim durable and wear resistant for reliability and longevity. The Dicut hub lies at the center of the wheel and is the current evolution of the benchmark 240S hub. Take the 240S quality and 36T ratchet system and reinforce the spoke flanges, then widen them to create a more stable base to support your rim and you basically have the Dicut design. In essence, DT Swiss is taking known perfection and taking it to the next level. The wheel has 24 DT Swiss Aero Comp spokes which are laced 2x on dive and non-drive sides.
