This DT Swiss PRC 1400 Spline 35 Disc Wheelset DEMO was barely ridden, showing basically no wear, with some cassette marks on the freehub body. The pricing on these fantastic disc brake road wheels means this single set won't last long.

The foundation of most of DT's high performance wheels is the 240s hubset, in this the Center Lock Disc version. From our perspective, this is simply the best all around hubset available. High quality forged and machined shells ride on oversized alloy axles via precision made Swiss steel sealed cartridge bearings. It is incredibly easy to perform basic service, and that is generally all the hubs will ever need. The 35mm profile tubeless ready (and set-up), disc specific carbon rims feature true road frame friendly 18mm internal width with 25mm external. In other words, these are optimized for tires from 700x23 to 700x30, with the true aero sweet spot from 25-28c. DT's carbon rims are exceptionally high quality, and incredible strong. The tubeless system is specific to the rim design, and is not only super clean visually, but also easily effective to get tubeless ready tires to seal.

The front and rear wheels both carry 24 straight pull spokes, laced 2x/2x. As DT does with several wheelsets, the spokes are different front and rear due to the varying load and requirements of each wheel. The front features the lightly bladed, famous Aerolite for its' ideal high tension application, creating a laterally stiff wheel you can rely on during any descent or that 90 degree corner in your favorite crit. The beauty of Aerolites is that they offer just a little give as well, and the butted steel helps mitigate road impact and vibration. For the rear wheel, which carries more weight and needs to offer a little more comfort, the Aero Comp is used. You don't sacrifice power transfer or handling control, and the impact protection is improved, sparing both the rider and rim from damage. All around, the DT Pro Lock hidden aluminum nipples are used to keep the high spoke tension properly managed, maintain a clean aero profile, and reduce rotational weight.

Front and rear 12mm thru-axle hubs add to the overall hub/dropout interface stiffer. The Shimano Center Lock disc rotor mount system is simple, precise, and allows for fast rotor changes. As pictured these DEMO wheels are coming set-up tubeless and include Schwalbe Pro One TLE 700x25 tires. These feature the Addix compound for excellent grip and control, with exceptionally low rolling resistance.
