The Fizik Vento Antares R1 Adaptive Saddle is a high-performance saddle with a streamlined shape and tapered nose-to-wing transition, now available with Fizik's most advanced 3D-printed Adaptive padding technology. Part of a new generation of Antares saddles, the Antares R1 Adaptive retains many iconic design features that have made the original popular among leading athletes. First introduced over twenty years ago, the Antares has appeared in nearly every Grand Tour since. Reimagined with innovative Adaptive padding, the Antares R1 Adaptive is designed to deliver both performance and comfort, suitable for road, cyclocross, and cross-country. It also saves weight thanks to a newly designed 7x9 mm carbon rail.
Fizik Adaptive 3D-printed padding has expanded to the Antares family, providing exceptional, long-lasting comfort on a low-profile performance saddle. The evolution of digital 3D printing allows for the creation of a new saddle without the limitations of traditional manufacturing methods. The Adaptive saddle padding is crafted using Carbon's revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) technology, which utilizes digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen-permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with excellent mechanical properties and surface finish. This technology enables biomechanics and engineers to design multiple functional zones within the saddle, each tuned for specific mechanical properties. This results in a 60% reduction in peak pressure through improved weight distribution, enhancing comfort across the entire saddle surface.
