The Ranger is the entry level glove from Fox. Now, just because it is affordable, don't think of it as cheap. You still get high quality materials and great design, but perhaps fewer bells and whistles, which, frankly many riders don't like or need anyway. The palm has a two layer, non-padded design that offers palm protection in the case of a fall, but really is designed for maximum grip and control. The Clarino® material feels like suede, but breathes a little better and provides amazing grip and bar feel. The index and middle fingers feature a broad swath of silicone for no-slip grip on your brake or shift levers.

On the back of the glove, articulated padded Airprene™ zones protect your knuckles with no restriction of movement or functionality. A lightweight mesh upper fabric allows air to infiltrate, while allowing heat and moisture to escape, keeping your hands cool and dry. This whole panel on the back of the hand is designed to stretch and conform, and a low profile wrist closure keeps the glove snug to ensure the overall fit. As you'd expect, Fox provides a soft, absorbent micro-suede material on the thumb, for wiping sweat, etc.

The Ranger is an everyday glove. Given the price, many riders buy two pair, so they can always slip on dry gloves. It is best to let them air dry after every ride, as they last longer. The Ranger delivers a tactile relationship to your controls, and provides simple, but useful protection.
