With the release of the Varia RCT715, Garmin developed a new seatpost mount kit that offers more security and control while you ride on urban pavement, country dirt roads, or rougher gravel surfaces. A more positive locking system has been designed with a lever release so you know your pricey RCT715 with it's integrated radar, light, and incident camera will always be with you when you get home. Buying an extra mount kit or two means you can quickly and easily move your RCT715 to a second or third bike.

Garmin includes shims and bands for round seatposts 25.4-35 mm diameter range, as well as for most D-shaped and aero posts as well. Zip ties can also be used to secure the mounts, but most people find the silicone bands to be very effective. As of release, the RCT715 is the only Varia/Garmin product that is compatible, but Garmin may well find a new use for it in the future.
