Both tires have construction and rubber that favor the purpose of each tire. The front GripLink has a softer compound for greater cornering grip and feel. The protection belt is Kevlar and limited to the center to keep the tire supple. The rear PowerLink carries more weight so the rubber is firmer for durability and powerful acceleration, while carrying a wider, stiffer, and more capable Nylon protection belt.
