Still attacking the trails on a 26" handbuilt wheels and V-brakes? Need a great rim? Mavic still offers rims for folks that choose to build their wheels to personal specification. The 32 hole XM 719 Rim has a stout design, with reasonable weight. It is not tubeless compatible but we find many riders still prefer to run a tube. Don't believe the rumors these cyclists still prefer 8-speed drivetrains as well, though there is nothing wrong with that. Many new and crusty old riders eschew tubeless.

The XM 719 features standard drilling, and a single eyelet design. At 460 grams for a 26" rim 32h rim, the XM 719 has high strength to weight ratio, and can be run with tubed tires as wide as 2.7".
