Description

The Maxxis Rekon Race Tubeless Tire is a semi-slick cross-country racing tire inspired by the proven trail-oriented Rekon, featuring a streamlined tread design with smaller, shorter knobs for optimal speed. Ideally suited as a rear tire when combined with an aggressive tread in front, it also excels as a front and rear combination for short-track events, where low rolling resistance and efficient acceleration are crucial. Engineered for competitive mountain biking, its 29 x 2.40-inch dimensions provide a substantial contact patch while maintaining agility on technical courses.

Constructed with a 60 TPI casing, the Rekon Race offers robust durability while remaining lightweight and supple. It features tubeless-ready clincher technology for increased traction, lower tire pressures up to 50 PSI, and improved puncture resistance. Sidewall flat protection enhances reliability in rocky or uneven terrain, while the folding bead simplifies tire installation. With a defined ISO width of 61mm, this black tire conforms precisely to ISO diameter 622 standards (29-inch), ensuring compatibility across modern cross-country wheelsets.
