The Niner RDO Flat Top RDO handlebar is the ideal choice for XC race or trail riders who don't want to rub tree trunks on the trail, with the flexibility to run it from the 710mm max or safely down to 650mm. This lightweight RDO carbon performer drops 20 grams from the standard carbon bar and is stiffer with better ride-tuned performance. If you are quirky or simply pragmatic, you can even run bar-ends on this baby. At just 156 grams at the full 710mm, bar-ends won't hold you back, and might keep you leveraged for powerful sprint efforts.

The Flat Top RDO actually has a mild 5mm rise (hence flat top), with an offset to the oversized 31.8mm center. You don't see it much outside of World Cup racing, but you can also flip the bar to lower your assembly and get 5mm drop. The back sweep is 9°, which is pretty much perfect for most 29er riders. Keep in mind that if you cut it back the net effect is less total sweep measured point to point. Cut down marks every 20mm make it simple to get your bars to the correct, preferred length. The carbon lay-up has been tuned with just the right amount of flex to make the ride more comfortable, but you don't feel that while riding. Vibration damping is significant as well. Cockpit and handling stiffness is excellent. This is just a well thought out, perfectly executed flat-style bar that is darn light. In other words, Niner RDO worthy.
