The RM-016 Mustache bar's undoubtedly Nitto's most recognizable bar that they produce. The bars feature a comfortable upright position and flat profile for solid handling. The 90mm reach is longer than most touring bars, which give the bars a more performance-based design. Building on the reach and bends, the 24.0mm bar/grip area fits road levers and requires handlebar tape, not MTB grips. The RM-016 has broad range from touring to a road and gravel.

The RM-016 receives Nitto's special attention in the form of 2014-T6 series aluminum and heat-treatment. This combination allows the RM-016 to shed weight while adding strength. As with all heat-treated Nitto bars, you will notice the center clamping area is smooth and polished, not knurled like the 6000 series, non heat-treated bars. Nitto has a unique process for bar construction. After cutting the alloy bar stock, the next step is anodizing and polishing. This means the bending process takes place as the final production step, which leaves a consistent finish from end to end. Heat-treatment and logo etching occurs to complete the beautiful end product.
