Time Trial Bikes
Cervelo has been forefront in the aero efficiency game since day 1. Each successive design gets faster and offers more innovation, and the latest generation of the P5 is no different. With a full theoretical and real world testing process that tapped into CFD, FEA, ISO and wind tunnel testing before hitting the road, Cervelo's engineers created a disc brake frame design focused entirely on UCI legal aero performance with real gains in frame stiffness. The P5 represents the best cockpit adjustment system available on a stock model today. An ideal bike for World Tour racing and UCI-governed TT events, it’s also become a favorite of many of long-course triathletes who don't require the frame fitments/accessories of the P5X.

Why the P5 over the P-Series?
Both the P5 and P-Series framesets evolved to some extent from one of the most TT/Tri models ever, the P3. The P-Series frameset carries most of the P3's design chracteristics. For entry-level to sport triathletes, that is an ideal model. It is fast, efficient, and reaosnably comfortable to ride for long events. On the TT's side, the P5 represents a purer time trial option that meets UCI standards. Power transfer is better from the stiffer bottom bracket junction, and the front end stiffness is extremely helpful for overall stability and efficiency. More importantly for some, the integrated riser/stem system is easier to adjust and create the best fit. A higher grade carbon fiber is used throughout the P5, and it pays off in pedaling efficiency, wasting fewer watts, and saving you seconds.
