Safety Meets Performance
When you have your own wind tunnel, impact testing lab, and commitment to delivering innovative cycling products that improve rider experience and safety, it is reasonable to expect your helmets will be as aero, safe and comfortable as possible. Specialized is committed to exceeding those expectations as seen in the success of the S-Works level Prevail, Evade and TT models, down through the Propero and Echelon, which all feature excellent ventilation, fit and comfort to keep you performing at your best.
While aero efficiency, safety and comfort are truly all integrated in helmet design and construction, it is the safety category where Specialized sets industry benchmarks. Delivering the MIPS Brain Protection System to lower price points and developing new, better ways to integrate it into helmet design is proof enough. Add in an optional ANGi crash sensor, app and increasing 3rd party integration to offer reassurance to riders and loved ones by offering crash detection, location services, and rescue guidance even if there is no cell coverage. ANGi offers a level of protection not easily tested or measured, but felt.
Helmets
No one truly enjoys wearing a cycling helmet, but yes, you must- please. With incredible efficiency and safety, Specialized helmets draw tremendous attention, yet when a person tries on a helmet (without a mirror nearby), their first impression is of fit, adjustment, and simply how the helmet feels. Minimalist padding and adjustment may not be ideal in hour three on a hot day, and until you ride in a helmet, you don't know how the ventilation system works. Specialized delivers proven design and features that you can trust.
Integrated with the aero requirements, shell construction, fit system, and MIPS layer, the 4th Dimension Cooling System has deep internal channels, large vents, and aligned exhaust ports that effectively brings air flow in, circulates it to pull heat and moisture away and out the back. It is quiet and truly effective. By keeping you cooler and drier, the design helps you stay alert and regulated, which improves safety and performance.
