No detail escapes the R&D team, and a combination of human-driven data and inspiration is fully measured against the microchip-driven FEA and CFD studies that test the premium material and construction technologies that define the S-Works series designs. That incredibly detailed, iterative hard work then informs an entire series bikes in the immediate lineage. Yes, the FACT carbon grade, frame weight, and build-out are matched to rider requirements and properly equipped, budget matching models that induce excitement, joy and self affirmation.

When you require the ultimate do-everything road-race bike, the Tarmac SL7 is the only bike you need. With an ideal balance of weight, aerodynamic efficiency, power transfer, and compliance this bike exceeds the capabilities of the SL6, as well as the pure aero Venge. After two decades of Tarmac development, the team found a way to go 45 seconds faster over 40k than the Tarmac SL6, without adding a gram of weight. How? By targeting the tubes that truly impact aero – seat tube, seatstays, head tube, fork blades – with shapes from Specialized's FreeFoil Shape Library and mating them with hidden cables and the company's fastest components. Tarmac SL7 handling offers unrivaled response at the bars, magic in and out of the corners, and maximizes the race geometry used for each frame size. The company considers this bike as the greatest example of their Rider-First Engineered™ philosophy.
For those who prefer to dance on the pedals in climbs, glide over less than ideal pavement, and love the feel of a superlight road bike that can fit 34mm road tires, the 585 gram S-Works Aethos frameset has to be the foundation of your next bike. With a ride quality that is difficult to conceive, handling that is sharp and stable, and pedal response under load that will make you smile, the Aethos is the ideal ride for the cyclist who simply loves to log hours and miles, without thinking about a race. That said, it is fully race-able, and great for fondo's or centuries thanks to the compliance and tire clearance. Disc brakes keep you in control in all conditions. Just keep in mind if you want to race it in UCI sanctioned event, you'll have to add weight to an S-Works build, and maybe even a Pro-model, as they can easily weigh in under 14.99lbs, out of the box!
