Park Tool has always provided bike storage hook options to bike shops and consumers. The threaded machine hook (with full thread zones for use with fastening nuts) has been most popular for shops over the years but are useful in almost any garage or trailer environment. Park now offers three sizes and the 450 Machine Storage Hook is the original, smallest size option with a 2.185" max width within the hook zone, ideally for road, cross, hybrid, and mountain tires up to about 2.0" max. The inside depth of the hook is 3.74", so side access is very reasonable.

Park coats the steel hook with a durable vinyl that will help protect your rim finish and structure. The threaded zone is not covered, and you get 1.25" of M8 threading. Two nuts are included, so you can both set depth, and tightly secure the hook. Please keep in mind this hook is not for installation directly in wood or a wall, but through a pre-drilled hole in a wall, shelf, ceiling rafter, etc., that you can access from both the front and rear to fasten the nuts. Against wood we recommend a washer on each side as well, and perhaps a lock washer. This is also a best practice for metal on metal installation.
