Park Tool has always provided bike storage hook options to bike shops and consumers. The threaded machine hook (with full thread zones for use with fastening nuts) has been most popular for shops over the years but are useful in almost any garage or trailer environment. Park now offers three sizes and the 470XX Oversize Machine Storage Hook is the largest size option with a 4.875" max width within the hook zone, ideally for tires up to about 4.5". The inside depth of the hook is 7.25", so side access is very reasonable.

Park coats the steel hook with a durable vinyl that will help protect your rim finish and structure. The threaded zone is not covered, and you get 2" of 10mm x 1.5mm threading. Two nuts are included, so you can both set depth, and tightly secure the hook. Please keep in mind this hook is not for installation directly in wood or a wall, but through a pre-drilled hole in a wall, stud, ceiling, pallet racking, etc., that you can access from both the front and rear to fasten the nuts. Against wood we recommend a washer on each side as well, and perhaps a lock washer. This is also a best practice for metal on metal installation, especially with a hook capable of handling fat bikes and the like.
