Description

Small fasteners have a way of disappearing the moment you set them down. A headset preload bolt rolls off the bench, a derailleur limit screw bounces into a floor crack, and suddenly you're spending more time hunting for parts than actually wrenching. Park Tool's MB-1 Magnetic Parts Bowl solves that with a 150mm diameter steel bowl and an embedded magnet that holds ferrous hardware in place. Drop bolts, bearings, set screws, and cable ends into the bowl while you work, and the magnet keeps everything from shifting around or tipping out.

The magnet is strong enough to hold the bowl itself to steel surfaces, which is where the MB-1 earns its keep beyond a regular dish or cup. You can stick it directly to a repair stand column, a steel workbench frame, or the side of a toolbox, keeping your hardware within arm's reach instead of sitting on a bench somewhere behind you. That works whether you're standing at a shop bench or crouched next to a bike on a portable stand at an event. For home mechanics, it attaches to any ferrous surface you can reach from your work position.

The bowl is finished in Park Tool Blue, so it provides high visual contrast against dark hardware like black oxide bolts and stainless fasteners. You can spot what you need at a glance rather than digging through a pile. It also doubles as a catch-all for loose ball bearings during hub and headset overhauls, where one dropped bearing can mean a trip to the parts bin for a full replacement set.
