The Alpine Comp JB is a nod to venerable Jobst Brandt and his love for the roads less traveled..on a road bike. So no suprise that the Alpine Comp is squarly aimed at he range of terrain from smooth roads to rougher terrian including maintenance roads or long stretches of rubble.

The Alpine JB casing is rated to 120tpi and is available in 30 or 35c non-tubless casings. The VFA tread design is mostly recessed in the rubber of the tire rather than relying on protruding knobs for improved performance. Thanks to the inverse tread, rolling resistance is smoother compared to traditional knobby tires, yet grip and confidence remain inherent features.
