In keeping with the fully integrated bar, stem and frameset systems that keep all wire and housing routing fully internal and hidden from the wind, Ritchey developed the Switch System. It consists of three elements: Switch Stem, Switch Headset, and Switch Headset Spacers. This item is the stem itself. The Ritchey Comp Switch Stem features the tried-and-true Ritchey C220 handlebar clamp design seen on many Ritchey stems, but the company increased its width for additional stiffness. Beyond that, everything else on this innovative stem is new and designed to stealthily conceal cables into the headset and frame.

Up to four cables- such as for the rear brake, shifter, or electronics- are situated within a unique enclosed channel on the underside of the stem, which then effortlessly integrate with the Ritchey Logic-E 1.5" headset – cleanly routing the cables into the frame. The Ritchey Switch Stem includes a matching compression cap. But you need to get the Upper Assembly and have the correct overall spacer height to make the system work.
