The latest addition to the Ritchey Switch System, the new Ritchey headset, is purpose-built to seamlessly integrate with Ritchey Switch Stems. Its primary function is to facilitate the smooth routing of cables, wires, and hydraulic lines from the handlebar to the bicycle frame. This innovative routing method discreetly guides cables from the handlebar into a concealed conduit beneath the Switch Stem (stem sold separately). From there, they navigate through an aperture in the front of the Switch headset spacers, then proceed through two dedicated channels atop the headset, ultimately reaching bicycle frames equipped with 44mm headtubes designed for external cup headsets. This meticulous system ensures that the headset bearings operate optimally, devoid of any interference from cables, wires, or lines traversing the headtube.
