Description
Mountain bike pedals operate in conditions that destroy lesser hardware—mud, rocks, impacts, and the constant lateral forces of technical terrain. The Ritchey WCS V6 XC pedals address this environment with a forged aluminum body and sealed cartridge bearings, combining the stiffness needed for efficient power transfer with the durability required for seasons of trail abuse. The platform measures wide enough to provide stable footing during technical sections while maintaining the low-profile stance that prevents pedal strikes on rocky climbs.
The engagement system uses Time's ATAC license, which means proven mud-shedding performance and the automatic centering that ATAC pedals are known for. Cleats engage from multiple angles without requiring precise foot placement—useful when remounting after a hike-a-bike section or clipping back in mid-climb. The open design allows debris to clear rather than pack into the mechanism, keeping engagement consistent through wet and muddy conditions where other pedal systems start to struggle.
Float adjusts between thirteen and seventeen degrees depending on cleat positioning, allowing you to dial in the rotational freedom that suits your knees and riding style. The release angle remains consistent across the float range, so the breakaway force stays predictable regardless of how much lateral movement you've set up. This pedal works with Time ATAC two-bolt cleats and is not compatible with Shimano SPD or other two-bolt systems despite the similar mounting pattern on shoes.... Read More
