This latest version of Vantage is constructed from high modulus carbon fiber for the ultimate ride quality and maximized weight savings. The WCS Vantage Carbon rim sits 25mm tall and has an internal rim width of 26mm. It's constructed of high-modulus carbon that has a beautiful naked UD carbon finish. The carbon rim is surprisingly damp which provides a silky smooth ride quality. As with Vantage rims of the past, tires mount and seal up with ease to the rim due to the smart channel design. The OCR (Off Center Rim) used in the rear wheel, features an asymmetrical design with a 3mm spoke offset and internal channel offset for balanced spoke tension. The long-proven OCR profile improves the spoke bracing angle and reduces wheel dish for a stronger build quality.

At the heart of the Vantage Carbon wheels are the WCS Trail Disc hubset. The pair of hubs have a star shaped flange to increase strength and reduce both lateral and brake flex. These unique flanges also make for easier building and wheel service. Oversize hubs are simple to disassemble and service, as well as convert to Shimano or XD Driver. Along with the oversize hub shells, Ritchey uses large and burly alloy axles for maximum stiffness and durability in a high-wear area. DT Swiss black anodized butted spokes connect this clever hubset to the Trail 30 rims.
