The critically acclaimed Zeta aluminum wheel concept is completely redesigned in this GX Disc 700c model to be wider and laterally stiffer at a reasonable weight, and more tough enough to endure gravel road rides and cyclocross races that would chew lesser wheels to pieces. The disc-only OCR (off center spoke hole alignment) 19mm profile rim extrusion with clincher and Tubeless Ready tire capability. The 28 hole, modern, wide rims with an internal rim width of 25mm and external width of 29mm capably carry tires from 32mm-67mm in width, with the ideal range from 35-52mm with most tubeless tire models.
This dedicated disc brake version is built around two-piece forged WCS-level hubs, with machined and staggered hub flanges that increase the spoke bracing angle and builds a stronger, lighter wheel. The hubs spec thru-axle bodies, alloy axles, sealed bearings and the Center Lock rotor interface. The engagement system for the rear wheel is a 36° ratchet design with an alloy freehub body. Each Ritchey wheelset is hand-built by a qualified Ritchey wheel technician and the Zeta GX Disc features 28 j-bend, double butted spokes, laced 2x/2x front and rear with brass nipples for more strength and accessible emergency needs, while the rear hub is easily serviceable without tools, including cassette body removal.
