Di2 EW-EC300 Charging Cable
Size: 1700mm
Description
Anyone who's owned a Di2 system long enough knows the charging cable is one of those things you don't think about until you can't find it—and when the battery indicator starts blinking mid-week, borrowing one isn't always an option because the connector changed with the 12-speed generation. Shimano's EW-EC300 is the dedicated charger for the current wireless Di2 platform, connecting directly to the small charging port on the rear derailleur body rather than routing through a junction box like older EW-series cables. If you're setting up a new 12-speed Di2 bike, replacing a lost cable, or building a second one for the travel bag, this is the correct part number.
The connector uses a magnetic interface that self-orients when you bring it close to the port, so there's no fumbling with pin alignment or worrying about forcing it in the wrong direction. Once seated, the derailleur's LED indicator handles the status readout during the charge cycle. The cable terminates in a standard USB-A plug on the other end, which means any phone charger, laptop port, or USB battery pack will get the job done—Shimano doesn't include a wall adapter because most riders already have three of them on the nightstand.
Beyond the drivetrain, the EW-EC300 pulls double duty as the charging cable for Shimano's current-generation power meter cranksets. The Dura-Ace FC-R9200-P and Ultegra FC-R8100-P spider-based powermeters use the same magnetic charging interface, so a single cable covers both the shifting system and the power data. If you're running a Di2 bike with a Shimano power meter, one cable in the drawer handles everything.... Read More
