Collaborating with Hydrapak for their excellent drinking system and reservoir, Shimano has created a lightweight, sleek fitting 2L hydration pack with an easy to use, very stable and adjustable harness system, and just the right amount of storage for a small-mid size cycling backpack.

The Unzen has a natural curve, with an anatomic shape that sits close the body. The lightweight, dense, breathable foam/mesh packsheet keeps your back comfortable and dry, and the Rider Fit X-Harness ensures a fit that is unobtrusive, moving with you as you shift weight, pedal, etc. The straps feature the same lightweight foam, with a durable outerlayer. The main compartment holds the hydration system, and can easily accommodate a lightweight rain shell. A low front zip pocket can handle tool, tube, snacks, keys, etc., and has a bungie-style exterior stowage system. A loop is provided for a clip-on light, a holder helmet is a great feature during transport, and a strap loop can hold your glasses once they get too muddy to use. The waist strap and X-Harness system keep the Unzen stable at all times, with comfort.

HydraPak supplies the reservoir and drinking system, with it's bite valve, which self seals after each sip and features a twist on/off bar to prevent leaks when not in use. The slide-seal top entry of the reservoir provides a huge opening for cleaning and filling. It can even be turned inside out. The easy connect system allows you remove the hose from the unit without issue, and the reservoir itself is made of ultra-durable, abrasion resistant TPU & RF welded seams for superior durability and elasticity. The whole drinking assembly is BPA/PVC free and rated for food quality, as well as capable of freezing or filling with liquids up to 140°F. HydraPak also supplies the hose routing and clip system that makes drinking on the go simple and convenient.
