The Cape Air Mountain Shoe from Sidi brings elements of the Dominator and Dragon series shoes together for a high quality, more accessible mountain shoe. The word Air in the name of the shoe refers to the many perforations in the upper which adds ventilation and air flow.

The Cape Air is intended for XC race use and is well suited for cyclocross. The Nylon sole delivers excellent power transfer, but has enough flex to make walking, running and jumping seem like a normal activity, not the uncomfortable experience some find with overly stiff carbon soles. The mountain Competition Outsole feature molded lugs, just like those of the Dominator, are firm enough for durability, yet deliver solid traction in loose pack terrain or mud. The standard SPD style two-bolt mounting area and wide cleat clearance will work with virtually any two-bolt pedal system with zero modification. The Cape Air is toe spike compatible as well.

Perhaps the best feature of the Cape Air is the Tecno 3 closure system. Sidi's high-end retention system is used to ensure a sung, comfortable fit on the fore and mid foot. This single ratchet pulls the Sidi Wire system from the metatarsal bridge to just below the Soft Instep 2 pad. You get a proven retention system that delivers an uncompromising fit, and fully takes advantage of the supple synthetic upper. Tecno 3 is micro-adjustable and secure, and just as with the Caliper system, replacements are always available.
