The Specialized Stumpjumper is the proven fast trail bike that features 130mm of rear travel. The EVO Pro Bicycle takes the same principles forward to an evolutionary design with 150mm of rear travel, unique suspension setting choices, and the option of a a 27.5" rear wheel thanks to Mixed Wheel Trail Geometry. Matched with a 160mm travel suspension fork in most sizes (the S1 comes with a 150mm fork), the Stumpjumper EVO Pro for 2022 can adeptly climb and rail with equal capability, thanks to the design and the FOX Factory suspension components. A superior carbon trail wheelset featuring 30mm wide Roval rims and DT Swiss hubs is powered by a SRAM X01 Eagle AXS wireless drivetrain and harnessed by SRAM's Code RSC 4-piston disc brakes. From many perspectives, the SJ EVO Pro for 2022 is the best overall value in the EVO line-up.

Out of the box, the Stumpjumper EVO delivers the most capable trail geometry on the planet. And its adjustability features allow you to customize the ride to suit your style and specific terrain. sets the benchmark for modern trail geometry, delivering DH capability alongside lively climbing manners. The generous cockpit centers you on the bike, optimizing traction and corner control. The low bottom bracket, slack headtube angle and reduced fork offset keep things stable in the rough, while giving you the freedom to choose. The frame offers six distinct geometry settings to hone its performance for any style, any terrain. The headtube angle can be adjusted between 63- and 65.5-degrees. Bottom bracket height can be fine-tuned up or down by 7mm by swapping the Horst link chips at the rear chainstay links. And an aftermarket MulletLink shock link allows the standard 29” rear wheel to be swapped out for a 27.5” wheel thanks to Specialized's Mixed Wheel Trail Geometry, without affecting other handling dynamics. This EVO’s seamlessly integrated adjustability makes it the most adaptable trail bike ever.

The frameset is made with Specialized's FACT 11m carbon fiber and heavily engineered from conception to production for the exact strength and torsional resistance required for it's intended riding. The team also tuned the entire chassis - front end, rear end, and the link between them - as a single unit. This minimizes lateral and torsional deflection and delivers telepathic handling. The Sidearm strut flowing along the right side of the shock between the top tube and seat tube is key to reducing unwanted flex, and allows the engineers to deliver a very specific feel that unifies the ride from front to rear. The shock is a model-specific FOX FLOAT X Factory model, with Rx Trail Tune, EVOL Air sleeve, and the 2-position lever w/ LSC adjustment. In this complete build the tuned FOX FLOAT 36 Factory 150mm suspension fork is used, with it's GRIP2 damper. The consistency of feel and response , along with ample setting options makes these FOX components perfect for the SJ EVO Pro.

From a suspension-ride characteristics perspective, the EVO’s 160mm front / 150mm rear travel is supple on small bumps, devours square-edged hits, feels bottomless and plush on big drops, yet still pedals and climbs responsively. The key ingredient here is Rx Tune - your prescription for fast. Specialized's team of trail obsessed suspension engineers and technicians toiled to develop every aspect of the EVO’s suspension into an optimally performing singularity. The leverage rate delivers small bump sensitivity, mid-stroke support, and compliant but controlled full travel when stomping the big hits. The tuned leverage rate is matched by the Rx size-specific tuned shock, allowing the suspension to do what it needs to do. Some of the key rider interest aspects: increased anti-squat, so the suspension better resists pedal bob, and further improved bump performance on square-edge hits.

The fit concept EVO’s S-Sizing is based on what matters; rider size and style, not inseam. Six sizes, all with similar headtube lengths and standover allow you to choose the size that best suits your individual style. Smaller S-Size numbers are going to be more nimble, thanks to their shorter reach and front-center measurement, while bigger S-Sizes deliver more stability and a roomier ride. The company also applied their Rider-First Engineered™ concept. All frames use a size-specific approach to ride characteristics that ensures benchmark handling and flawless performance, regardless of frame or rider size.
