The Force eTap HRD Shift/Brake levers feature the HydroHC™ brake platform and streamlined lever body with excellent ergonomics and efficient brake lever pull. Personalize for your tactile and hand size preferences using Reach Adjust™, as well the the Contact Point Adjustment™ for the pads. The levers are offered with or without the calipers- so you have the option of a full, one side set-up, or just the levers. The rationale is you could just need a replacement lever, or already have calipers, such as if you had the post mount version but are moving to the 12-speed AXS drivetrain set-up. If you are getting the lever and caliper assembly, the HRD disc calipers are lightweight aluminum Flat Mount set-ups, featuring SRAM's Bleeding Edge system and resin pads.

Each shift lever body contains a CR2032 battery for sending signals to the eTap AXS system and has a single port for a Blip accessory shifter. The AXS app allows you determine to your preference which shift action is controlled by which button. Reach Adjust also allows to customize the physical lever set-up for different size hands. You'll notice that the eTap shift paddles are larger with better ergonomics for pure tactile comfort and response.

Force AXS is positioned to make real in-roads across all road cycling disciplines, a list that includes race, gravel, cyclocross and pure enjoyment. The capabilities are essentially the same as Red AXS, the price point is more accessible, and everyone loves the clean aesthetic and set-up of the eTap wireless system. Moving AXS to a BLE connectivity and the AXS app only makes the system easier to interface with for updates or analysis.
