Description
Power meter spiders let you upgrade an existing crankset rather than replacing the entire unit. SRAM's Red/Force AXS Power Meter Spider bolts directly to DUB spindle cranksets, positioning eight strain gauges in the spider body where your pedaling force transfers to the chainrings. The 107 BCD bolt pattern accepts Red and Force AXS chainrings in standard road configurations.
The spider-based approach measures total power output from both legs combined, which differs from crank arm meters that measure each leg independently. For riders focused on total wattage rather than left/right balance data, this configuration delivers accurate power numbers without the complexity of dual-sided systems. SRAM rates accuracy at plus or minus 1.5 percent, which falls within the range most training software considers reliable for structured workouts and pacing.
ANT+ and Bluetooth dual connectivity handles pairing with head units, watches, and training apps simultaneously. The coin cell battery sits in a compartment on the spider face, accessible without removing the crankset. SRAM estimates 400 hours of ride time per battery, though actual duration varies with temperature and broadcast frequency settings.... Read More
