Converting your Zipp Disc rear wheel with a black 188 disc hub for road use with 11-speed Shimano or SRAM cassettes is not only possible, but actually fairly simple. The 188 track hub was designed with this conversion option, so the drive side shell has the necessary ratchet ring to accept the 3-pawl engagement system of the road 188 11s freehub. The kit includes the replacement 130mm quick release style axle, end caps and the freehub. The conversion process is a series of easy steps that requires the following tools: (1) 2mm hex key, (2) 8mm hex keys, (1) 15mm cone wrench, (1) 19mm cone wrench, and (1) track lock ring wrench.
