With the release of Campagnolo's amazing 12-speed groupsets the original rear derailleurs were designed for 32 tooth large cog cassettes. With greater range desired by many cyclists, a 2nd version of the rear derailleurs were released that accepted cassettes with 29-34 tooth large cogs. Fair enough, but the legendary Italian component company decided not to leave their first 12-speed buyers out in the cold with a 32 tooth max. Enter the Inner Derailleur Cage Plate 34T for 12 Speed. This simple cage plate has a different shape and stop design that allows you to use the same pulley to pulley distance but allows the cage to travel in a greater arc, accepting the 34T 12-speed cassettes.

This simple inner cage plate swap is easy for any home mechanic and much more cost effective than buying a new derailleur, yet another reason Campy fans love the company. The alloy plate is effectively Record level and the same quality as that used on Super Record and Record 12, while also fitting Chorus 12.
