Description

If you are like the vast majority of cold weather riders, aero is not a major consideration when buying winter shoe covers. Is it warm? Does it really protect from the elements? Is it practical to take on and off? Will it actually fit comfortably over my road or mountain shoes and cleats? Are you sure it's warm? These are the real questions most folks want answered, and they don't want to spend a fortune. Well, Pearl Izumi agrees with you, and answers all the those question with, "yes", offering you the fully functional $85 AmFIB Shoe Cover, which does in fact work with both road and mountain shoes. (Real world tip: if your shoe size is at the upper end of the size range, and you use mountain shoes, go up a size).

Reach for this excellent shoe cover on those cold days when you’re going out to ride regardless of conditions, whether to commute, train, or simply need to ride your bike no matter what. This is Pearl's very warmest shoe cover, thanks to three-layer AmFIB softshell fabric and a premium grade, quilted insulating liner with 100g Primaloft Gold with Crosscore technology. Plus, a durable water repellent (DWR) finish is added to help keep your feet dry through most conditions. The anatomic design eliminates the bunching that can happen near the top of the pedal stroke, and the patented two-stage hook-and-loop closure makes them easy to put on and take off, solving one of the most frustrating parts of using shoe covers. Plus, you get Pearl's exceptional BioViz® reflective elements for low-light visibility.

speaking of replacing a good product with a new one , how about the new attack socks , the mesh type, it’s a good idea but i have literally ripped through ten pair of these . i own many pairs of the old style and have had them for years and rarely do they wear out . why.

I bought these to replace my old style 9072 neoprene booties and they’re vastly inferior. I just got back from a ride in low 40’s and my feet are numb (with three pair of socks). My old 9072’s kept my feet nice and toasty into the 30’s. For the life of me, I can’t understand why they eliminated a great product in favor of a useless product. Shame on you PI.

I ride in Western Washington regardless of weather. My feet have always remained warm and dry with the Pearl Izumi Amfib Shoe Covers. Pros: durable and they work. The only Cons: bulky, tight fit at top once zipped all the way (may be the reason, why my feet remain dry).

Ride in the Pacific Northwest and not even a mile in to my ride, my shoes were soaked, my socks were drenched, and it was the most uncomfortable 20 mile ride I’ve taken in a long time. I bought these to replace another brand that would only get me through roughly 10 miles without feeling wet socks. This was a total waste of $50.00
