I have had this tool for numerous years and it works perfect. inexpensive and functions perfect. Just ordered 2 more so I can have them everywhere. Shop, travel toolbox, and wash station. know this tool works

Hard to believe but the bolt supplied with the chain keeper is still too short. I had to replace the bolt with a longer one. Once the bolt is replaced the chain keeper works well.

Says fits a 31.8 seat tube but it is impossible to attach with the included screw. Like the other reviewer I had to take an extra M5 screw I had from my cleats. Finally got it on, but what a pain! There have to be other chain keepers that are easier to put on.

I bought this Chain Keeper for an 㤎 Redline Conquest Pro frame that I had picked up recently. The thing claims to be designed for a 31.8mm frame, but when I went to put it on, the M5 bolt that was included was too short to get far enough into the nut to stay! Simple enough to fix; I went down to the old local hardware store and picked up a 16mm M5 cap screw for about a quarter -- but I really shouldn’t have had to. Apart from that, this thing works exactly like I need it to work, and the plastic design means that it won’t scratch the frame.
