Like many others I bought this product to stop my new Ritchey Carbon PRO post from slipping. I applied it to the post & I.D. of seat tube per the instructions 24 hours before my next ride. Instructions didn’t say anything about the Liquid Torque needing to cure or set up, but I figured 24 hours would be a safe bet. That was about a month ago and the seatpost has stayed in place perfectly. I only tightened the seatpost collar about half-way into the frame manufacturer’s recommended range. I didn’t use even half of it and I understand the previous poster’s difficult in what to do with the rest of the stuff. I just forced it to the lower half of the package, folded the top over twice and used a paper clip to hold it closed. So far my experience has been very positive with this product.

I have struggled with keeping my Easton EC70 bars tight in the stem... seemed to slip relentlessly. ... to the point where I had to be cautious of it in the turns during races... it was simply a pain. Just a little of this stuff, fixed the problem in seconds. ... just installed a thomson masterpiece seatpost in an R3,and no slippage at all. (BTY, just shaved 50g+ off the FSA post that came with the bike. I did have to purchase a USE shim so I could install the 31.6 in the odd 32.4 seat tube, however. But it works perfectly.)

This works exactly as described - I’m using it on an aluminum seatpost (Thonson) in a carbon frame (Orbea), and it holds with minimal torque placed on seat collar bolt. Only negative - does not come is a resealable tube with a cap like other greases. Therefore, you use it all at once, or leave it open making a mess on your work bench. Great product - crappy packaging!

Works exactly as described. Used on a carbon frame with a carbon seatpost. The post was slipping all the time when tightened to the safest level. No more slippage at all. Good stuff.

I used this stuff on a carbon fiber seat post in an aluminum frame, and then decided not to use it when rebuilding the bike. That was a bad choice, the seat post was slipping into the tube until this Liquid Torque was applied again. No need to overtighten and damage your carbon fiber part with this applied to them. Ritchey should package this in some type of air tight container so it could be saved more easily, especially considering their profit margin on the product.

Great Stuff! I had a new carbon setpost that kept slipping down into the seat tube every ride. I put a little liquid torque on the post and no more slipping!
